Best AI Visibility Platforms in 2026: Tools Compared

Research reviewed

What is the best AI visibility platform?

The best AI visibility platform is the one that measures the engines, questions and markets you need, preserves evidence behind its scores, and fits your team's workflow. Start with a use-case shortlist rather than an overall winner: lightweight monitoring, category research, technical diagnostics and enterprise content operations are different buying decisions.

For a small monitoring pilot, consider OtterlyAI. For prompt-led marketing analysis, consider Peec AI. For broader research, examine Ahrefs Brand Radar or Semrush. For technical agent-experience work, evaluate Scrunch. For enterprise analysis and marketing workflows, evaluate Profound. CiteLadder is relevant when you want answer/source evidence alongside website and search context.

These are editorial shortlists based on documented capabilities, not test scores.

Disclosure: This comparison is published by CiteLadder, which sells a product in this category. We reviewed official product, pricing and help pages on 6 October 2026. We did not run paid trials or independently benchmark collection accuracy. Plan details and prices should be reconfirmed before purchase.

How we compared the tools

Our research separates documented availability from demonstrated performance. A feature on a vendor page establishes a claim about the product; it does not prove the feature's accuracy, usability or value for your website.

We recorded each product's collection model, visible plan limits, source-analysis features, adjacent diagnostics, pricing basis and unresolved buying questions. Where a public page did not establish a detail, we did not turn that gap into a claim that the product lacks it.

The supporting evidence file includes URLs and the review date. No affiliate links or commissioned vendor rankings were used in this research.

OtterlyAI: a practical small monitoring shortlist

OtterlyAI's monthly Lite plan was listed at US$29, with 15 prompts, daily tracking and four included surfaces: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot. Gemini, AI Mode and Claude were listed as add-ons. Its page also documents citation analysis, exports and GEO audits.[1]

Why consider it: the entry package makes a limited pilot easy to scope.

Check before buying: whether the included engines match your audience, how additional markets consume capacity, and which API or agent-analytics functions require a higher plan. A low entry price is useful only if it covers the questions you actually need.

Peec AI: prompt-led marketing analysis

Peec's public plan page documents daily tracking, brand/competitor analysis, domain and URL source views, fan-outs, referral and crawler insights, and plan-dependent reporting/integration features. The Starter description specifies 50 prompts and a choice of three models.[2]

Why consider it: teams can evaluate brand trends and the sources behind them in a prompt-led workflow.

Check before buying: the exact model mix, country limits and final price. The fetched pricing text did not expose a reliable numeric Starter price, so we have not repeated a number from an older comparison. Request a configuration-specific quote rather than assuming every listed model is included.

Ahrefs Brand Radar: broad discovery and custom questions

Ahrefs distinguishes a pre-collected AI Visibility Index from Custom Prompts. The former helps investigate existing category coverage; the latter tracks questions you define. Its page also documents cited pages, fan-outs and adjacent web/bot analytics.[3]

Why consider it: it suits research that begins with “Where does this topic appear?” as well as an existing Ahrefs workflow.

Check before buying: database coverage for your niche, collection cadence, custom-check consumption and the relevant package. A prompt derived from search-query data is not automatically a measured human conversation in an AI app. The pricing page returned localised currency, so compare the actual checkout configuration rather than an assumed US-dollar equivalent.

Semrush AI Visibility: for an SEO-connected workflow

Semrush's AI Visibility offering includes competitor research, prompt research, custom prompt tracking and an AI-readiness audit. The fetched Base pricing view listed US$99 per month per domain, billed annually, with 25 custom prompts. Its separate Prompt Tracking documentation explains the monitoring workflow.[4][5]

Why consider it: an SEO team can assess AI visibility within a familiar broader toolset.

Check before buying: the difference between database reports, Brand Performance domains and custom-prompt campaigns, plus user and reporting add-ons. Confirm monthly versus annual billing and the engines available in the exact module; suite-wide coverage does not mean every report uses the same dataset.

Scrunch: technical visibility and agent experience

Scrunch's pricing page combines prompt management, citation tracking, page audits, reporting and agent-traffic monitoring. Starter was listed at US$300 month-to-month, or US$250 per month billed annually, with 350 custom prompts, three users and five page audits.[6]

Why consider it: it is a relevant shortlist when the question extends beyond mentions to how automated agents encounter the website.

Check before buying: the exact scope, implementation requirements and availability of AXP delivery capabilities. Monitoring agent activity and changing what an agent receives are materially different projects. Confirm analytics setup, data retention and responsibility for any website/CDN changes.

Profound: enterprise analysis and marketing workflows

Profound documents prompt-based Answer Engine Insights, citations and additional analytical views. Its current main pricing page showed a trial with 50 daily prompts for seven days and a tailored Enterprise offer; it did not substantiate the older US$99 Starter figure found in cached search results.[7][8]

Why consider it: enterprise teams can evaluate a broader analysis and marketing-workflow package.

Check before buying: contracted engine coverage, regions, raw-data export, governance and what is included beyond analysis. Ask for the precise denominator of each metric. A visibility score calculated only among answers containing a brand is not directly comparable with a rate over all valid answers.

CiteLadder: evidence connected to website work

CiteLadder documents retained answers, cited domains/URLs, competitor observations, Site Health and connected search/analytics context. Its pricing page states that provider calls use customer accounts and provider usage is billed separately. At the research review date, it described direct early-access onboarding and unavailable self-serve checkout. Confirm current access options on the pricing page; registration availability and paid checkout are separate controls.[9][10]

Why consider it: teams can investigate an observed answer alongside the website evidence that may inform their next action.

Check before buying: the supported engines in your configuration, current trial/access terms, provider costs, run capacity and exports. Do not assume coverage for every engine mentioned in this article. The listed roadmap or a site's planned tier is not a substitute for a confirmed working configuration.

Original pricing insight: compare the workload, not just the prompt count

Our public-page review found incompatible purchasing units: prompts, model choices, checks, domains, users, platform credits and external provider usage. These should not be collapsed into a single “cheapest tool” table.

For example, OtterlyAI's 15-prompt, four-engine, daily configuration implies 1,800 scheduled prompt-engine observations over a 30-day month. Peec's 50-prompt, three-model daily Starter configuration implies 4,500.[1][2]

Calculation: prompts × selected engines × scheduled days. These are theoretical scheduling counts, not verified successful answers, equal-quality samples or a claim that one package is better. Retries, country variants, engine availability and collection methods can change the practical workload.

Ask each vendor to price the same brief:

Track 50 specified unbranded questions across three named surfaces in one country, daily for 30 days. Preserve raw answers and source URLs, allow three users, and provide an export. State all extras, collection methods and retention limits.

That makes proposals more comparable than asking only for “50 prompts.”

Ten capabilities to verify in a demo

  1. Engine coverage: name the actual surface, not merely the model family.
  2. Collection method: distinguish consumer UI, API and pre-collected index data.
  3. Prompt controls: test your own questions, intents, locations and languages.
  4. Evidence: open a raw answer and trace its citations.
  5. Competitors: review brand matching and ambiguous-name handling.
  6. History: check collection start dates, retention and changes to old records.
  7. Technical diagnostics: distinguish robots-policy checks from observed crawler requests.
  8. Referrals: distinguish AI visits and conversions from bot activity.
  9. Actions: ask how recommendations are derived and what a person must verify.
  10. Portability: export a sample and recalculate one reported metric.

What should you choose first?

Choose the smallest pilot that answers a real business question. Before buying, define the decision you will make from the data and the evidence required to make it.

A good pilot might reveal which comparison questions exclude your brand, which documentation pages are cited, or whether an inaccurate claim persists. A dashboard that produces many charts but no inspectable next action is not a useful result by itself.
